Mijeong's support letter

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I am writing this letter to share my ministry and how you can help.

As you may know, I have been serving as a missionary at a children’s home called Zion Home through Jerusalem Ministry(jerusalemministry.org), which I have been on staff for the past 8years. It is a huge blessing and privilege to serve these children as a full time volunteer starting from 2011. As a full time volunteer I am able to reach more children from elementary school students to seniors in high school through devoting extended time at the Home throughout the week, teaching and spending time with the children. It brings me joy when they forgive their parents who abandoned them, are healed from inner scars from the young age, and recognize God's goodness even in the midst of hardships, overcoming their struggles as I speak life and show God’s love to them. I can see this is what they really need and what God longs to see in them as I teach them.

Children in these homes are placed there for many reasons such as financial crisis, divorce, adultery, abuse, or simply abandonment. Once they are placed in these homes, their parents and relatives rarely come to see them. The children feel completely neglected and abandoned by their families. As I have been serving at Zion Home, I have realized that the area of lack in such homes is not so much in food or clothes but in love and attention for each individual. The crucial part that the children are missing in their childhood is not the chance to learn more, but the truth that God the Father loves them and wants to have a relationship with them.

The more I spend time with them, the more I find that God has dreams and promises for each child. I see future ministers who will heal the brokenhearted as they are being healed from their own wounds, raise children with God's love as they are caring for one another, and bring the joy of God into those who are discouraged as they are overcoming their own sorrows. I desire to be the vessel of God who speaks this truth and guides them to listen to their own dreams and promises from God.

I would kindly like to ask you to partner with me in nurturing these children in God’s love through your prayers and/or financial support. As a full-time staff with Jerusalem Ministry, I do not receive a salary. Instead, I am only able to continue serving through the help of various supporters and unfortunately my support has been dropping. Would you prayerfully consider committing to praying for my ministry and to supporting me financially? In order to be in full time ministry, I need 2,000,000krw(US$1800) per month. Would you consider supporting me in the monthly amount of 50,000krw, 100,000 krw, or more? I would be glad to meet with you if you would like to learn more about the ministry I am doing. Please respond if the Lord moves upon your heart.

Thank you for your consideration and may God bless you richly!

Yours truly,

Mijeong Song
